Noobsi in Find the Dumpling: a Roblox book, no combat
Noobsi in Find the Dumpling: 25 bedtime stories about hunting 143 dumplings in Roblox, for kids aged 8 to 11. A gentle adventure with puzzles and no fighting
Noobsi in Find the Dumpling is the third book in the Noobsi Bedtime series: 25 bedtime stories about a group of friends hunting all 143 dumplings in a Roblox hide-and-seek game. There are no enemies and no fighting. It’s written for kids aged 8 to 11 and is out now in English, Spanish and Catalan, as a paperback and an eBook.
143 dumplings, one very slow afternoon
Noobsi has just left Brookhaven when Wind drops a new game in the chat: Find the Dumpling. 143 dumplings hidden all over the map.
Noobsi reckons it will take an afternoon. Three hours later the whole group is still at spawn, arguing about whether a pink dumpling counts as “pastel pink” or just “pink”.
That’s the book in one scene. Find the Dumpling has no enemies to beat and no levels to grind. It has a Dumplog with 143 slots, a set of cryptic clues and dumplings hidden behind waterfalls, under sand, inside blocks and above floating islands. And a group of friends who can’t look for one without starting an argument.
What happens in the book
The 25 stories are split into three parts.
Learning the map (Stories 1 to 8). The Dumplog, the rarity tiers and the first easy finds. In Story 2, nomaraccion climbs into a chimney just to see what happens, and the chimney launches him into the clouds. There’s a five-colour code to crack, a statue that needs 250 clicks, a green key and Candy Island.
Community and the shop (Stories 9 to 16). Marccuiner wants an auto-clicker and Wind says no. The group enters the cave maze, where MimyVibabot is the only one who read the whole Dumplog first. A random player freezes everyone, and a concert on Candy Island ends in the acid.
The hard ones (Stories 17 to 25). A door that opens every seventeen minutes, invisible walls, a black portal, a crashed plane, 1,500 clicks and the tiniest dumpling in the game. Then 143 out of 143.
Two stories worth waiting for
In Story 17, “Seventeen minutes”, the group reaches a door that only opens every seventeen minutes. MimyVibabot asks a simple question: what if we just wait and talk? They do. Nothing happens in the game for seventeen minutes, and it’s one of the best chapters in the book.
In Story 22, “The 1500 Clicks”, Marccuiner, who has been asking for an auto-clicker for most of the book, stands in front of a block with CLICKS REMAINING: 1500 and says “I’ll do it”. ChukyProGamer counts every hundred out loud.
Who’s in it
The same school friends as always. Wind finds the game and keeps stopping to admire the view. DaVinci builds a Dumplog spreadsheet nobody reads. torrents keeps asking if the game is really “just finding things”, and then spots the dumpling everyone else missed. Meet all 16 characters on the Find the Dumpling characters page.
For parents
This is the calmest book in the series. It’s about paying attention, being patient and helping whoever gets lost, and the group argues about fair play (that auto-clicker) without anyone preaching.
You don’t need to know the game. The book ends with a 55-term glossary, and the Find the Dumpling glossary online explains words like Dumplog, mythic and troll obby. Each story takes about ten minutes to read.
