Most Roblox slang is harmless. These terms are different: they can point to someone trying to move your child off Roblox, dodge the chat filter, or steal their account. Knowing them helps you spot a problem early.
c7rn
A code typed to check whether a chat filter is on. If the other person sees hashtags instead of the word, they have the stricter filter, which often means a younger child.
What to do: Someone checking your child's filter may be trying to find out their age or how freely they can talk. Tell your child not to answer questions about their age or settings, and to tell you. Report and block the user.
cord / dizzy / “add me on…”
Asking to continue the chat on another app. “Cord”, “disco” and “dizzy” mean Discord, written that way because Roblox's filter blocks the word; “snap” means Snapchat. On those apps, Roblox's filters and moderation don't apply.
What to do: This is one of the most important warning signs. Agree a family rule: no moving chats to other apps with people met online. If it happens, report and block, and check which apps your child has.
ODer
“Online dater”: someone using Roblox to look for a boyfriend or girlfriend, often in roleplay games. It may be spelled “OD” or “ODer” to get past the filter.
What to do: Online dating is against Roblox rules. Report the user and block them. Talk calmly with your child about why a stranger asking to be their boyfriend or girlfriend is a red flag, especially if they then ask to move to another app.
condo games
Hidden, user-made games with sexual content that break Roblox's rules. They are shared through outside links, get deleted quickly and reappear under new names.
What to do: Set an age-appropriate content level and use Blocked games in Parental Controls. If your child mentions a “condo” or gets a strange game link, report the game and talk about not following links from strangers.
ERP
Short for sexual roleplay through chat or avatars. It's banned on Roblox.
What to do: If you see it in your child's chats, take a screenshot, report the user, block them and review chat settings. Talk with your child without blame so they keep telling you things.
bypass
Tricks to get around the chat filter, such as odd spellings, symbols or spaces, so blocked words get through, including rude or sexual ones and app names.
What to do: Bypassing the filter breaks Roblox's rules and can get accounts banned. If someone uses bypassed words with your child, report and block them.
free Robux
Any offer of free Robux, items or subscriptions (websites, videos, games, “generators”, “codes”). Roblox says every one of them is a scam meant to steal accounts.
What to do: Teach your child that free Robux doesn't exist, and to type their password only on the Roblox login page. Report the message, link or game.
beaming / beamed
Having a Roblox account hacked or tricked away and its valuable items stolen.
What to do: Turn on 2-Step Verification (an authenticator app is best), use a unique password and never share codes. If the account is hacked, contact Roblox Support within 30 days.
cookie logging
A hacking trick where malware, a fake browser extension or pasted code steals the login “cookie” from the browser, letting a hacker into the account without the password.
What to do: Never paste code someone sends into the browser and only install trusted extensions. If you suspect it, log out of all other sessions in Roblox's security settings, change the password and remove unknown extensions.
trust trade
A trade where one player is asked to hand over their item first and “trust” that the other will send theirs. Scammers keep the item and disappear.
What to do: Teach your child to use only Roblox's official trade feature and never to “go first”. Report the scammer.
sunc / executors
sUNC is a test tool cheaters use to rate “executors”, programs that run cheat scripts in Roblox games.
What to do: A child talking about sUNC or executors is probably looking at cheat software. It breaks Roblox's rules (risk of a ban), and these downloads often carry malware.
There are also sexual slang terms and filter-dodging spellings that we don't list one by one. If you see words you don't understand in a conversation with a stranger, treat it as a red flag: take a screenshot, report and block.
